Nearly 300 people were expected to gather at the River Rock Theatre to honour the city's first responders last night at the Richmond Chamber of Commerce's 10th Annual 911 Awards.
"We just want to show that we recognize their role and we're pretty dependant on these folks," said executive director Craig Jones. "They provide a safe environment that we are privileged to live in."

Police Team, Officer or Auxiliary Member of the Year:

Ambulance Crew or Ambulance Paramedic of the Year:
