Warnings of possible COVID-19 exposure have been issued for eight more flights.
The international and domestic flights have been added to the BC Centre for Disease Control’s COVID-19 exposure warning list.
Five flights were added to the list Tuesday, while another three were added on Wednesday.
The affected flights are:
- Aug. 5: Air India flight 1143, from Delhi to Vancouver (affected rows not reported)
- Aug. 12: Air India flight 1143, from Delhi to Vancouver (affected rows not reported)
- Aug. 14: WestJet flight 196, from Victoria to Calgary (affected rows: 10 to 16)
- Aug. 16: Air Canada flight 250, from Vancouver to Edmonton (affected rows: 17 to 23)
- Aug. 17: Air Canada flight 106, Vancouver to Toronto (affected rows: 20 to 26)
- Aug. 18: Air Canada flight 007, from Vancouver to Hong Kong (affected rows: 21 to 27)
- Aug. 21: KLM flight 681, from Amsterdam to Vancouver (affected rows not reported)
- Aug. 21: Aeromexico flight 696, from Mexico City to Vancouver (affected rows not reported)
In total, 52 flights into and out of B.C. have been added to the provincial warning list in August, including 16 international flights and 36 domestic flights.
Information on affected rows is included on the list when that information is available, and while the BCCDC says that those seated in the affected rows should be considered at higher risk of exposure to the virus, it recommends that anyone who was on the flight self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days.
People arriving in Canada from outside of the country are required to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms for 14 days, under the federal Quarantine Act.
