T & T supermarket will open its third location at Lansdowne Centre on Aug. 16 following the success of its other two stores at Yaohan Centre and Hollybridge Way.

Headquartered in Richmond, the Canadian supermarket chain, which was bought out by Loblaw Companies in 2009, primarily sells Asian food.

The new Richmond store will occupy the 74,000-square-foot first floor of the former Target and Zellers stores.

At the grand opening on Aug. 16, T & T will offer free drinks and snacks, and the first 400 customers through the door will receive a gift card.

There will also be a six-foot dragon made of hundreds of pieces of sushi which customers may have the opportunity to devour.

The Landsdowne location will be the 11th T & T store in B.C. and the 26th in Canada since the company was founded 1993.
