You never quite know what’s going to be on sale at the Richmond Hospital/Healthcare Auxiliary’s Thrift Shop in Steveston.
Recently, we’ve seen chafing dishes and toilet-shaped ceramic decorations.
On the weekend, staff at the Chatham Street store put on display an entertaining collection of salt and pepper shakers.
Among the designs were what appears to be gnomes, animals and possibly caterpillars.
There was also a very nice little set of signed wooden carvings, which appear to be of First Nation design.
