A Richmond-based developer will have to pay a fine totalling $47,900 for not properly filing development documents.
Sandhill Homes Ltd. failed to submit information to the Condo and Strata Assignment Integrity Registrar (CSAIR) for 13 quarterly periods between Jan. 1, 2019 and Mar. 31, 2022, according to a BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) consent order report. The CSAIR is a database for purchase agreements of all residential condo and strata lots in the province.
Sandhill and its director Hardeep Kaur Sandhu are ordered to jointly pay an administrative penalty of $44,000 as well as a $3,900 investigation fee to the BCFSA.
The order was issued on Jan. 9, 2023 and Sandhill has 30 days to comply with the terms.
