John 3:16, a Malaysian restaurant, is opening a third location in Aberdeen Centre.

An authentic Malaysian restaurant has opened up shop this week in Aberdeen Centre.

John 3:16 Malaysian Express in the mall’s food court serves dishes like Malay roasted chicken on rice, dry rice noodles and curry laksa.

Their grand opening at Aberdeen Centre was on Nov. 27, taking over a spot previously occupied by Cafe D'Lite Express.

Richmond foodies may recognize the business as they already have restaurant locations under the name John 3:16 Malaysian Delights in Richmond on No. 3 Road and in Vancouver on West Broadway.

Their express stall in Aberdeen Centre has a smaller menu than their restaurants, with eight main courses and seven appetizers such as yam rolls and curry puffs.

They also serve drinks like lemon tea, soy milk and white coffee.

John 3:16 Malaysian Delights was founded in 2014.

“We place the highest priority on providing our guests with the true Malaysian cuisine experience and are committed to pampering them with such authentic favourites, lovingly prepared from the finest ingredients,” reads their website.

The newest location can be found at Aberdeen Centre, 4151 Hazelbridge Way.
