Richmond’s Cowell Auto Group is offering free car repair services for long-time volunteers in the community.

“To celebrate our 50 year anniversary, we want to find a way to give back to the community and people who have been creating a meaningful difference in the community,” said Aaron Fraser, service manager for the Cowell Auto Group.

“We'd like to show our appreciation for the volunteers by making their cars safe and reliable again.”

Fraser said the company plans to help 24 volunteers in all kinds of areas such as animal care, senior centres, cancer charity, sports teams and immigration services, whose cars need servicing.

Cowell is now seeking recommendations for volunteers for the year-long project. People are invited to nominate candidates on the project's website (ProjectPurpose.ca/) and to share the stories of the person and their family.
