Cathay Pacific Airways recently announced the addition of three, non-stop flights between Vancouver and Hong Kong, using the new state-of-the-art Airbus 350-900XWB aircraft. Starting at the end of next March the new flights will be added to the airline’s existing twice-daily service, bringing the total of flight to 17 a week. “We are absolutely delighted that Cathay Pacific continues to excel in our market,” said Craig Richmond, president and CEO of the Vancouver Airport Authority. “Cathay Pacific’s increased frequency will add an additional 87,360 seats annually into Vancouver. This kind of growth from our long-standing partner is a testament to the strength of YVR as the connecting hub between Asia and the Americas.
