Pacific Coastal Airlinesis a business success story.
Based at Vancouver International Airport’s South Terminal (YVR), the privately owned and operated airline was born in the red clay and sandy loam of B.C.’s central coast in the town of Bella Coola by second generation truck logger Daryl Smith 50 years ago.
From that humble beginning it has become one of the largest airlines operating at YVR, providing regularly scheduled flights, charter, and cargo services to sixteen bases in BC and five destinations as WestJet Link in Calgary.
A proud member of the Richmond Chamber and Tourism Richmond, it has developed longstanding relationships with local hotels and businesses in the area.
Many of its customers spend time and money at Richmond based restaurants, hotels and other businesses throughout the year and the airline supports local businesses whenever possible.
And many of its 330 employees at the YVR base are Richmond residents.
The key to the airline’s success has been the fulfillment of its corporate culture as summed up in its tag line “People friendly. People first.”
Pacific Coastal Airlines is proud of its roots and of its support of the people and the communities it serves.
