Celebrate the breathtaking rivers and Westcoast ocean environments that have shaped our history and connected our communities at Our Coastal Connection exhibit open house from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. June 3 at Britannia Shipyards (5180 Westwater Drive). Meet local groups that will help you capture your water story, challenge you to be a water champion, show you what’s lurking in the depths under the waves and give you a sneak preview of cool new technologies soon to be released.
Richmond Orchestra and Chorus: June 3:
The Richmond Orchestra and Chorus (ROCA) is proud to present Canada 150: Music from Coast to Coast June 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Fraserview MB Church (11295 Mellis Drive). ROCA’s concert will offer a cross-section of orchestral and choral music from the amazing tapestry of Canada’s musical heritage. From the joyful energy of Larry Nickel’s All the Little Rivers of Canada to the plaintive Celtic influences in Loreena McKennitt’s music; from the Quebecois classic Mon Pays, to a cowboy stampede in the west; music to soak in, and music to sing along with.
