Richmond production office begins filming of limited crime TV show

The Hulu and ABC Signature show is based on the true story of the murder of a Canadian teenage girl in 1997.

New limited series is being produced in Richmond.

A new crime TV series has begun filming in B.C. with its production office in Richmond.

The ABC Signature show Under the Bridge is a limited series and is an adaptation of Rebecca Godfrey's book of the same name. This show will be shown on Hulu.

The eight-episode show is based on the true story of the murder of a 14-year-old Canadian Reena Virk who never returned home after joining friends at a party. Virk's murder in 1997 was described as one of the most "notorious and heartbreaking" cases in Canadian history.

A group of teenage girls and a boy were accused of her murder.

Quinn Shephard will serve as an executive producer with Samir Mehta and Liz Tigelaar as co-showrunners and executive producers.

Gigi Boyd and Jan Peter Meyboom are listed as the producers of the show.

No casts have been announced for Under the Bridge at the moment.

Production of Under The Bridge is scheduled from Oct. 12, 2022 until Mar. 3, 2023, according to Creative BC.
