The Steveston-based World of Music and Arts is hosting a free classical music concert in Vancouver

A family-friendly, free classical music concert is being hosted in Vancouver this weekend by the Richmond-based World of Music and Arts (WMA).

“The Musical Mosaic” is being billed as a “celebration of Canadian composers and contemporary music” and will take place Sunday, April 16 at the Norman & Annette Rothstein Theatre, on 950 West 41st Ave. at 1 p.m.

The concert, said WMA’s Anna Vavilova, is a “mix of professional performers and composers with talented young performers.”

“This is the largest show that we created in the past decade,” she added.

“The concert will feature one of the newly-written and shocking compositions by Casey Cangelosi ‘Corona Chronicles - Bad Touch,’ performed by Jade Hails and many other powerful, beautiful, and authentic masterpieces.”

Vavilova recommends that anyone interested in attending should get their free tickets from WMA while there are still some left.
