The Richmond street banner contest is now open for the public to vote for their favourite design to fly high in the city streets.
This year, the contest saw over 500 submissions with 20 finalists shortlisted by a community volunteer judging panel.
Richmond community members can view the banner designs at www.LetsTalkRichmond.ca and on the city’s website at www.richmond.ca/banners.
Winners of the contest will see their featured designs installed around Richmond from March 2022 to February 2023.
Over 1,000 street banners will highlight 10 winning designs – one from each theme.
Themes for this year’s submissions are:
- The Arts
- Active Living
- Urban Landscape
- Island City
Richmond’s Street Banner Contest is a part of the broader Partners for Beautification Program, which invites community members to become actively involved in the beautification of their city.
Votes can be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org before 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17.
