Local artists are invited to submit works for Richmond’s bi-annual art exhibition.

Richmond Arts Coalition (RAC)’s 2023 ArtRich event returns to celebrate roughly 45 emerging and established artists from Richmond and across the Lower Mainland.

This is RAC’s fifth juried exhibition and will run from Nov. 24 to Dec. 31 at the Richmond Art Gallery.

Artists can submit a maximum of two artworks, created between 2021 and 2023, in any medium including paintings, drawings, 3D works, textile arts, photography, video and digital media. Only one work per artist will be selected for the exhibition.

All applicants must be or become a member of the Richmond Arts Coalition to submit their artworks. While the membership fee is $10 for a year, Richmond youth artists under the age of 18 can submit artwork for free.

The top three artists with the most votes during the exhibition will receive $150 each and the People’s Choice awards, while all other selected artists will also receive an honorarium.

Artists can also apply for a paid artist opportunity to present artwork in the No. 3 Road Art Column Exhibition from Feb. 1 to July 31, 2024.

The deadline for artwork submissions is Sept. 1, 2023 and selected artists will be notified by Sept. 20.
