For the sixth year, the Steveston Wine Fest is gearing up to brings samples from around the world to local wine enthusiasts.
A first round of tickets was released on Thursday for the annual festival, with more tickets to be released on Friday.
Run by O’Hare’s GastroPub at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery, the event promises that this year, there will be “a focus on interesting and hard to find wines from B.C. and beyond.” Over 80 “boutique” wines are expected to be available for sample, as well as food tastings from Steveston merchants.
Part of the proceeds from the festival go to benefit the Richmond Christmas Fund, as well as other local charities.
The sixth annual Steveston Wine Fest is scheduled for Saturday, June 8 from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
