Eighty-five Scots and wanna-be Scots attended the celebration of the birth of Scotland's favourite son, Robert Burns, with a Robbie Burns Supper at Steveston Japanese Cultural Centre on Thursday night. It was an evening of music, dance, poetry reading, a few drams of the highland nectar, and, of course, the eating of the much-maligned haggis tempered with a roast beef dinner. This is Steveston's inaugural Robbie Burns Day celebration and hopes to be an annual event.Chung Chow
