Richmond’s brewery, Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks, brought home a bronze award from the national Canadian Brewing Awards Competition (CBAC) this year.

Fuggles & Warlock took their Pixel Pilsner, which won the Best Beer Award in the 2019 BC Beer Awards, to CBAC and placed third across Canada in the European-style Lager category.

“Winning best beer in B.C. with our Pixel Pils and later going on to win bronze with the same beer on a national level is unbelievable and we’re all so honoured,” said Tony "Warlock" Iaci, one of the lead brewers at Fuggles & Warlock.

Iaci told the Richmond News that credit for winning the award goes to the employees from the “tasting room staff all the way to the packaging team” at the brewery.

“We are all proud to be locally owned and we are humbled to represent Richmond on a national level at the CBAC.”

CBAC is an annual and national competition for judging Canadian-made beers in 55 categories. Certified judges determine the top three beers in the different categories through “blind tastings.”
