Meet A&W's new Beyond Meat sausage and egger

Vegetarians, rejoice! There’ll soon be a breakfast sandwich that includes more than just egg and cheese.

Following on the heels of last year’s ultra-successful Beyond Meat burger, A&W is introducing a brand new breakfast option: the Beyond Meat sausage and egger.

The new, permanent breakfast item will be available starting March 11 in Burnaby and across Canada.

Like the Beyond Meat burger, the Beyond Meat sausage patty is 100 per cent plant-based. The Beyond Meat sausage and egger comes on an English muffin with a fresh egg and a slice of cheddar cheese (the sandwich is not vegan).

“We think it tastes just like A&W’s classic sausage and egger; most people have no idea that the sausage is made entirely from plants,” notes a press release.

There are seven A&W locations in Richmond:

  • 3080 St Edwards Dr.
  • 5300 No. 3 Rd. (Lansdowne Centre)
  • 6551 No. 3 Rd. (Richmond Centre)
  • 8140 Garden City Rd.
  • 8671 No. 1 Rd. 
  • Two locations at 3211 Grant McConachie Way (Vancouver International Airport)
