Those who would like to learn more about the growing environmental problem of plastics in our oceans are invited to a screening in Ladner later this month.
A Plastic Ocean, an informative adventure documentary, will be shown on Tuesday, June 19 at 7 p.m. at Cedar Park Church, 5300-44th Ave.
Researchers, scientists and divers travel to 20 locations in the world to uncover truths about plastic pollution, the vast diversity and fragility of our oceans, and reveal working solutions that can be put into immediate effect.
The event is co-sponsored by Cedar Park Church Creation Care Team and the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen’s environmental committee.
In addition to the documentary, there will be information on alternatives to plastics and door prizes.
