Lavish Richmond condo one of Dream Home Lottery prizes

The home in Capstan Village also comes with a smaller condo in Vancouver, cash for furniture and a brand-new BMW.

A luxurious new condo in Richmond is one of the prizes up for grabs in this year’s BC Children’s Hospital Dream Lottery.

A lucky winner could call the three-bedroom abode in Capstan village home. It’s in the Sorrento East tower, and the prize comes with $30,000 in cash to furnish it. Plus, there’s a brand-new BMW i3 to drive around in style.

Pictures of the home show a plush bedroom, a modern bathroom and stylish light fixtures illuminating a trendy dining and living area.

One thing the winner won’t have to worry about is missing the last SkyTrain home, since the Richmond prize also comes with a second, smaller condo in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.

The lottery benefits BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and tickets are on sale through Oct. 12. Teri Nicholas, the foundation’s president and CEO, said the proceeds go towards medical research.

“Each year, tens of thousands of kids from across the province count on BC Children’s Hospital for specialized care they often can’t get anywhere else,” she said.

There are seven grand prize packages to be won, and the value of the Richmond’s totals $2.5 million. There are other grand prize “dream homes” in South Surrey, Vernon and Sooke.
