For many families purchasing a new car is second only to buying a home; it's an expensive proposition not to be taken lightly.

When searching for the right car, the Dueck name is synonymous with trust, well-built cars and great value.

Dueck has earned a stellar reputation over more than eight decades, as an automotive company that delivers excellence in customer satisfaction, service and quality vehicles.

As one of the newest dealerships in the Dueck family, Richmond Dueck has already built a name for ensuring every customer who buys from them leaves happy and satisfied.

"We truly believe that the most important thing, more important than making a quick sale, is to create a relationship with each and every one of our customers," says Greg Keith, Dueck Richmond's vice-president and general manager. "We strive to give every person who comes through our door, no matter what department they come to, a positive, personal experience."

Dueck Richmond is committed to building lasting relationships with each of its customers. Keith says each one of its employees recognizes that every customer comes with their own unique needs. By creating a relationship, its professional team can be responsive to those needs on an ongoing basis.

"We have customers who have initially come to us, and now their children and grandchildren are coming to us," he says.

"That kind of loyalty must be continually earned. We know that our customers have numerous choices when it comes to purchasing and caring for their vehicles. We want to be the first place they think of and come to for all their automotive needs."

One of its many advantages is that Dueck Richmond is a multilingual dealership. Their friendly and knowledgeable sales staffs speak English, French, Tagalog, Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Greek, Italian and Punjabi fluently.

Knowing that consumers have a wide variety of quality cars to choose from, Dueck Richmond understands it's only as good as its employees.

The local dealership has many long-time employees, many of which have been with Dueck for decades. "We have a lot of individuals who, like myself, have grown up in the job, and now hold very senior positions in our organizations," he says.

"All of these individuals are the foundation of what Dueck stands for and is today."

He went on to say that its senior vice-president, Jack Galbraith, has been with the company since 1961 - he'll celebrate his 50-year anniversary in September.

"Our receptionist Barb Breeden, the Voice of Dueck, celebrated her 40th year with Dueck this past February," he says.

"Our vice president of sales, David Kent, will celebrate his 29th year with us this year."

Dueck Richmond is also proud to be one of the leaders in pre-owned car sales. They have more than 350 vehicles to choose from, in all makes of domestics, imports and luxury vehicles.

"We also source our vehicles from all over North America to ensure our customers are getting the best possible price on their purchase of a pre-owned vehicle," Keith says. "We also offer expert advice on car buying tips, car dealers versus private sales, and buying versus leasing."

As an Optimum GM Used Car Dealer, Dueck Richmond is devoted to making every used car purchase worry free, with 180-point mechanical inspections, warranty and roadside assistance. Meanwhile, Dueck Richmond doesn't stop at the sale. Its service department is a 30,000 square foot state-ofthe-art facility that services all makes and models of vehicles with 15 service bays. They also have a body shop with two full paint booths and body men with more than 20 years' experience in the business.

"Our customers are greeted inside our service drive-thru by one of our five friendly service consultants who are GM Pro certified, and very knowledgeable about your vehicle," says Keith.

Customers are then offered the convenience of a free shuttle service within Richmond, or the option to wait in its warm and inviting customer lounge, which is equipped with a full coffee bar, satellite TV and free wireless internet.

"We have 16 factory trained Grand Master technicians to service your vehicle properly - the first time, on time," he adds. "Quality Care Maintenance is fast, accurate, and competitively priced. Another fact that people might not realize is that Dueck Richmond is a fully accredited ICBC Body Shop."

For Keith, cars are in his blood. Keith grew up in the automotive business.

"My parents opened their first dealership in 1980, the year I was born, Keith Pontiac Buick in Okatoks, Alberta," he says. "In order to make it successful my mother took on numerous jobs at the store, including driving the parts delivery truck."

Keith says within days of his birth, his mother bundled him up, and took him with her to make parts deliveries around Calgary. "I guess you can say my first job was an assistant to the parts driver," he quips. "In all seriousness, I have grown up around the business, spending many summers working in all the different departments from lot staff, body shop, and the service and parts department."

In keeping with his parents' philosophy of excellence, Keith is committed to providing customers "with the most open, transparent, and stress-free buying experience possible, and then to follow it up with the most exceptional after-sales service."

"We pride ourselves on the generations of families that trust in the Dueck Auto Group to look after all their vehicle's needs," he says. "I myself believe in personal integrity; a deal done on a hand shake."
