Delta Nature Reserve boardwalk now open

The city has announced that the Delta Nature Reserve boardwalk is now open. Damage caused by the Dec. 20, 2018 windstorm has been repaired and public access has been fully restored.

The city was forced to close parts of the nature reserve after significant damage to trees and areas of the boardwalk.

According to Delta, for matters of public safety, city crews had to undertake tree removal work but contended with access challenges to parts of the area due to wet ground and fallen trees, slowing restoration efforts.
