5 twisty, scenic B.C. road trips to explore on a motorcycle this summer

We ride at dawn, but where?

What better way to explore beautiful B.C. than on a road trip, especially by motorcycle? There are plenty of scenic drives branching out of Vancouver, no matter which direction you look. Here are some good routes to cruise on a motorcycle.

Sea To Sky Highway

This scenic route is the perfect summer day trip if you have a motorcycle. The winding road opens a breathtaking view of Howe Sound with every corner, edging along the coastline into Whistler. There are plenty of spots along the way to stop for lunch too, like Porteau Cove or Shannon Falls Provincial Park.

Duffy Loop

This multi-day trip follows Highway 1 up to Lillooet and back to Vancouver through Whistler, making for a scenic way to see the best of B.C. Highlight of the trip? Duffy Lake Road - a motorcyclist dream-come-true with plenty of sharp turns, steep grades and amazing views.

Sunshine Coast, Lund

Lund is a little town up the Sunshine Coast and is only a five hour motorcycle ride away from Vancouver. The highway takes you up the Strait of Georgia past Powell River, with a few ferries in between, into the often-called 'Shellfish capital' of the West Coast.

Highway 7

A scenic alternative to Highway 1, this trip will take you past Harrison Hot Springs (stop for a relaxing dip!) all the way into Hope. Make the Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park your destination on this outdoorsy adventure.

Highway 3

Ride all the way to Princeton through Sunshine Valley and Manning Park on a trip is full of twists and beautiful forest views. Once you're there, check out the Bronze Sculpture Walk - the town's unique attraction.
