Women of all ages flocked to Steveston last Thursday, Nov. 29 for the village's popular Girls Night Out.
Organized by the Steveston Merchants Association, the event gives women a chance to holiday shop and socialize, while stores get to promote their businesses.
Preshopping events began at 4: 30 p.m. and included discounted meals at Dave's Fish & Chips and Tapenade Bistro.
Participating shops offering discounts such as 15 per cent off all purchases included A Monkey Tree, Bliss, Harmony Dental Studio and Goegan Spa.
The event ran from 6 to 9 p.m. and shoppers who visited three out of select businesses were entered to win a Steveston Shopping Spree. An after-party was then held at Blue Canoe Waterfront Restaurant, where a $25 ticket included a bottle of pink bubbly, oysters and a small plate of appetizers.
