Vancity wants to support the communities where its members live and work by providing community grants of up to $10,000 to organizations across Richmond.
Up to 70 per cent of the total project budget is available for any programs that help create sustainable places to live, invest for positive change in the community and are focused on education people on how to build their financial knowledge.
The maximum amount available for projects or programs at $10,000, but conferences, workshops and forums can receive up to $2,500, and community festivals can get up to $1,000.
The total budget of an applicant includes cash and in-kind contributions.
