The Rotary Club of Steveston presented Richard Morgadinho of Save On Foods with an award of recognition for his leadership and support for the Steveston Rotary Food Hamper program for families in need in Richmond due to the COVID-19 pandemic

The Rotary Club of Steveston has presented two awards to a Richmond Save-On-Foods manager for the contribution to the community from him and his store staff.

The club recognized Richard Morgadinho, manager at the Terra Nova store, and his store staff, who partnered with the Rotary to provide 700 food hampers since last July to families in need due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The plaque on the right recognizes the company and the store staff for what the club called “their tremendous cooperation and support.”

While the framed certificate on the left is a special Rotary “Paul Harris Award” presented to Morgadinho for his “inspirational commitment and leadership.”

The latter of the two awards is named after the founder of Rotary, and is only given to non-Rotarians in special circumstances.
