For a donation of $10 or more, Richmondites can take photos with "super cruisers" and RCMP officers in red serge.

Halloween is just a little more than a week away, which means it's already time to think about Christmas.

The Richmond RCMP is raising awareness for Richmond Cares Richmond Gives' (RCRG) 90th annual Richmond Christmas Fund with a Halloween twist — dressing up two Ferraris and a Lamborghini as RCMP cruisers.

The "super cruisers" and RCMP officers in red serge will be available for photos with the public at Centre Court, Lansdowne Centre (near Earls). A donation of $10 or more is required and all funds go to buying toys and gift cards for families in need during the holidays.

“We are very excited to be part of the Richmond Christmas Fund for at least 12 years and we want to help in any way we can to support families in need this holiday season,” said Lansdowne Centre marketing manager Bronwyn Bailey.

“Thanks to the generous support from car owners, Cheryl Kwok & Win Lui, and the Richmond RCMP, we hope to set the tone to generate support for this longstanding Christmas initiative.”

To check out these dressed-up cruisers and donate to a good cause, stop by Lansdowne Centre between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 22.

The annual RCRG Toy Drive will also be taking place next month at the parking lot on Nov. 19.
