Renowned children's entertainer and author Charlotte Diamond, centre, has been a longtime supporter of the Richmond Women's Resource Centre. She will be on tour in Port Hardy during International Women's Day on Saturday, but wanted to lend her support to the centre's fundraiser, organized by (from left) Colleen Glynn, president, Florence Yau, executive director, and Mary Scott, vice president.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Richmond Women's Resource Centre is hosting its 3rd annual International Women's Day Breakfast on Saturday, March 7 at Cora's restaurant in the Coppersmith Plaza on Steveston Highway near No. 5 Road.

Beginning at 9 a.m. and running until 11 a.m., for your $25 ticket, you will get a delicious breakfast plus a beverage and will also be entertained by Richmond’s own rhythm and blues star Sibil Thrasher.

A live auction will follow with beautiful homemade baskets containing many delicious and useful items. If you’d like to help the group mark International Women's Day, you can buy tickets at the Richmond Women's Resource Centre, at Caring Place at Minoru Boulevard and Granville Avenue, or by calling 604-279-7060 or online at www.richmondwomenscentre.bc.ca.

A limited number of tickets will also be on sale at the door at Cora’s on the day.
