Poll result: Richmond News readers concerned about sending kids back to school

As children return to school today across Richmond, it seems readers are still not confident about the whole Omicron situation

Children return to school today across SD38, after a delay of a week to prepare for a plan for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, students at BCIT have started a petition to delay the return on in-person classes.

Richmond News polled 341 Richmond News readers and asked the question: How do you feel about your kids going back to school next week?

The poll ran from 1/6/2022 to 1/10/2022. Of the 341 votes, we can determine that 98 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:

Relieved, I'm sure they will be perfectly safe 23.47 % local, 25.22 % total    
They need to go back, but I wish it was in cohorts like before 24.49 % local, 18.48 % total    
Not sure, it seems a bit risky given the Omicron spread 33.67 % local, 40.76 % total
