Photos: Snow day in Richmond

Send in your photos of Richmond during the snow storm.

It has been snowing since Tuesday night and snow day in Richmond is in full swing.

Around 10 to 20 centimetres of snow is expected as Environment Canada's snowfall warning continues through Wednesday afternoon.

Temperatures around Richmond are currently hovering between 0 and -1C and rain mixed with snow is expected late afternoon tomorrow.

Public schools in Richmond are closed for the day, as well as in-person classes at Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Richmond campus.

Meanwhile, Vancouver International Airport (YVR) saw an accumulation of 10 to 15 centimetres of snow on Wednesday morning and some flights are being delayed or cancelled.

Community members, two and four-legged, could be seen having a fun day out in the snow around the city, such as Richmond News reader Joanna Pak's pup Lucy in this submitted video.

In a video submitted by Richmond News reader Alyssa Lim Allain, two coyotes were seen enjoying the snow as well.

Those driving in the snow may experience reduced visibility during heavy snow and surfaces may become difficult to navigate, warns Environment Canada.
