A family-run natural health store based in Richmond made its final donation to the Richmond Hospital Foundation's ACT NOW campaign.

In 2017, Nature's Essence committed to donating a total of $100,000 to benefit the hospital foundation during the store's 20th anniversary and has finally fulfilled its commitment by donating the final $20,000 this fall.

Raymond Lin, owner of Nature's Essence is hoping this recent donation can help provide "a high calibre" of care to the Richmond community just as he and his son received at Richmond Hospital in the past.

“While this past year and a half has been challenging for many families and businesses, it has also solidified our commitment to health care in the community, specifically in Richmond,” said Lin Lin.

“We are proud to make a contribution towards the new Yurkovich Family Pavilion at Richmond Hospital, an essential facility that will serve our family, staff, and clients.”

Candace Hernandez, vice president of Richmond Hospital Foundation, said they are grateful for Nature's Essence' donation toward the future of healthcare.

“The new Yurkovich Family Pavilion at Richmond Hospital will enable our health care teams to provide the best in care, for more people, close to home.”
