The 101st Knights of Columbus B.C. and Yukon State Convention is coming to Richmond and registration is now open.

The 101st Knights of Columbus B.C. and Yukon State Convention is coming to Richmond and registration is now open.

The event will be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel from April 25 to 28 with all 131 councils (which represent more than 11,500 members) expected to be represented.

The Richmond Councils of the Knights of Columbus, comprising District 23, have been active in promoting the ideals and principles of the order and, they say, are well equipped to take on the tasks and responsibilities to make the convention a success.

The state convention is an annual event to foster better working relationships between all regional districts of B.C. and Yukon.

The Knights of Columbus was founded in the United States in 1882 by the Venerable Michael J. McGivney.

It provides financial security to its members through an insurance program and its members and their families are involved in educational, charitable, religious and social welfare works.
