For the ninth year in a row, Richmond’s Culture Days is coming to the city this September and now, community members can register to host an event.

This year’s annual Culture Days weekend runs from Friday, Set. 28 to Sunday, Sept. 30 and highlights local artists, musicians, designers and creators who offer workshops and demos to the general public.

New this year, the festival has a theme: OnBeat – “a nationwide celebration of rhythm.” Events participating in the optional theme can “embrace rhythm as a universal cultural experience and drumming as an accessible art form.”

Activities can now be registered online at www.culturedays.ca by Tuesday, July 31. Professional, community, amateur or educational groups can all participate as long as the event is free to the public, scheduled for the Culture Days weekend, includes audience participation in some way and is registered online.
