Two prominent Vancouver hotels have just been named among the top city stays in Canada, according to a respected annual ranking.
With an aim to draw on their readership's expertise, Travel + Leisure complies votes from travellers around the world for its World’s Best Awards, honouring top hotels, resorts, destinations, and travel experiences around the globe.
For the 2025 awards, nearly 180,000 people took part, casting over 657,000 votes to determine the top spots in multiple categories.
Here's how the voting works: Hotels were classified as either resort hotel, city hotel, inn, or safari lodge based on their location and amenities, and they were specifically rated on the following criteria: rooms/facilities; location; service; food; and value.
For each characteristic, respondents could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores are averages of these responses, according to Travel + Leisure.
