Here's how things have changed for fans inside BC Place stadium (VIDEO)

Don't bother bringing your purse and say goodbye to cash.

Throngs of Vancouver fans have been welcomed back inside BC Place stadium, as local sports events have returned to the iconic venue.

Some policies have been updated to ensure guests have the best experience.

Emphasizing health and safety, some implemented changes include a clear bag policy, touchless entry, a cashless stadium experience, a cash-to-card voucher program, and mobile tickets.

Recent concerns about overcrowding after events due to a lack of exits have been raised online. According to BC Place, however, all exits have been accessible since the stadium reopened to the public.

"They were all open but I think there was some confusion. People entered at a certain gate, they wanted to exit at that certain point, and so that did cause a little bit of congestion. But we're really messaging now to our guests that they can exit at any door on the concourse," explains assistant general manager Jenna Visram.

Now that B.C. has put the temporary mask mandate back in place for indoor public spaces in the province, the stadium is also following suit.

"Guests will be required to wear a mask upon entry and then they are asked to keep their masks on at all times. The only time that guests can remove their masks is when they're actively eating in their seats. According to the public health orders, it's 12 and above who are required to wear a mask at all times, and that's the messaging that we're going out to our guests with," says Visram.
