The CFIA says some chicken burgers products are being recalled from the marketplace because they may contain undeclared egg in December 2021.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is notifying consumers that a company that produces chicken burgers is recalling some products from the marketplace because they may contain undeclared egg.

Belmont Meat Products Ltd. is recalling products of its Great Value (Walmart) brand and Belmont Meats brand Chicken Burgers because they "may contain egg which is not declared on the label."

The recalled products have been sold across Canada. If you have an allergy to egg, do not consume the recalled products.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
