Three of Richmond’s favourite ‘greasy spoon’ cafes have featured in the Richmond News’ series: (from left) the Fisherman’s Boot Cafe (run by Jason and Mary Lou De Ruiter), Zia’s Cafe And Grill (run by father/son duo Zia and Sama Arfaee) and the River Road Cafe (run by Roberta and Leo Tonioly). So who will it be?

The salty humour that accompanies the fish ‘n’ chip special at the Fisherman’s Boot Café in the heart of Steveston Harbour Authority?

How about Persian-inspired Zia’s Café & Grill in industrial east Richmond, where the father and son owners will cook from scratch just about anything their customers ask for?

Or could it be the secret Brazilian ingredient hiding out at the very north tip of the city at the River Road Café?

Over the last few weeks, the Richmond News has been featuring each of the above unique “greasy spoon” cafes, as nominated by our readers.

So, whichever of the trio of family-run, independent eateries is your favourite, you, the Richmond News readers, have the chance to vote for who should receive the News’ Greasy Spoon Award.

Simply cast your vote on our webpoll on the home page at Richmond-News.com before 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 and we will announce the winner later that day.

If you're on a mobile device, scroll to the very bottom of the page to access the webpoll.
