COVID-19 exposures at 2 more Richmond schools

More Richmond schools have been flagged for COVID-19 exposures, according to Vancouver Coastal Health.

Vancouver Coastal Health is warning of COVID-19 exposures at two more Richmond elementary schools.

There was an exposure at Kingswood elementary on June 2 to 4, June 7 to 11 and on June 14, according to the health authority’s school exposures webpage.

Meanwhile, there was an exposure at Cook elementary on June 15.

Anyone identified as a close contact of a case is contacted directly by public health and asked to self-isolate, according to VCH.

People who have not been contacted by public health do not need to self-isolate.

As of June 24, 77 per cent of those aged 12 and up in Richmond have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the BC Centre for Disease Control.

Meanwhile, across B.C. 76.2 per cent of those 12 and older have received at least one shot as of Friday, while 25.2 per cent of that age group has received their second dose.
