Five more Richmond schools have been flagged for COVID-19 exposures, according to Vancouver Coastal Health.

Vancouver Coastal Health is warning of COVID-19 exposures at another five Richmond schools.

There were exposures at Ferris elementary on April 7 to 8 and April 12 to 13; at Cambie secondary on April 12; and at Byng elementary on April 12 to 13, according to the health authority’s online list of school exposures.

Meanwhile, there were exposures at Walter Lee elementary on April 12 to 14; and at Anderson elementary on April 13 to 15.

According to VCH, school exposures occur when someone with COVID-19 is in the school during their infectious period.

School district superintendent Scott Robinson said earlier this month that there have been no known transmissions of the virus in Richmond schools since September.

According to the BC School COVID Tracker, there have been 5,417 exposures in 1,186 B.C. schools, as of Monday. Of those exposures, 75 have been variants of concern.
