More Richmond schools have been flagged for COVID-19 exposures.

COVID-19 exposure alerts have been issued for four more Richmond schools.

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has added Manoah Steves elementary, McNair secondary, Grauer elementary and McRoberts secondary to its online list of COVID-19 exposures in schools.

According to the health authority, there was an exposure at Manoah Steves on Mar. 1 to 3; at McNair on Mar. 3; at Grauer on Feb. 26 and Mar. 1; and at McRoberts on Feb. 26.

A school exposure occurs when someone with COVID-19 was present in the school during their infectious period, according to the health authority.

“Those who need to self-isolate are contacted directly by Public Health. If you have not been contacted, you do not need to self-isolate,” VCH said.

Richmond School District Superintendent Scott Robinson noted at the Feb. 24 school board meeting that, while there have been exposures, there have been no known transmission of COVID-19 so far in Richmond schools.
