Three more Richmond schools have been flagged for COVID-19 exposures, according to Vancouver Coastal Health.

Vancouver Coastal Health is reporting three more COVID-19 exposures in Richmond schools.

The health authority has listed the schools on its school exposure webpage.

Exposures occurred at Palmer secondary and Walter Lee elementary on May 27 to 28.

There was also an exposure at Cambie secondary on May 19 to 20.

An exposure occurs when someone with the virus is in the school during their infectious period. However, according to VCH, there is no transmission in the school setting in the “vast majority” of cases.

As of May 31, 60 per cent of children aged 12 and older in Richmond have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the BC Centre for Disease Control’s COVID-19 surveillance dashboard.

There was also an exposure recently at Anderson elementary May 18 to 20.
