A Richmond non-profit organization wants to hear how families have experienced inclusive education.

Richmond Society for Community Living (RSCL) is asking for community input to create a video documenting the history of inclusive education in the Richmond School District.

Richmond residents are encouraged to submit any photos, stories, documentation or artifacts about their children’s journey – positive and negative experiences – with inclusive education in the past or present.

According to a media statement, RSCL believes “creating visual documentation of the history is important to share with (the) community.”

The project will “help us remember the past, see our progress, and underscore the importance of moving forward, never back, in our journey of inclusive education.”

Submissions can be emailed to the inclusive education committee at inclusive-ed@rscl.org by March 31.
