The Richmond Community Foundation (RCF) is offering scholarships to graduating students wishing to pursue their studies in various academic studies as well as other fields such as performing arts, trades and athletics.

Julie Halfnights, chair of the foundation’s scholarship committee, said they want to help students “achieve their educational goals” wherever they are.

“Today, students have the benefit and the challenge of choosing among countless post-secondary options. Whatever they decide, we can provide financial support,” said Halfnights.

RCF awarded 39 scholarships, which valued a total of almost $25,000, to local high school students last year.

This year, the foundation will be offering more scholarships as a result of several newly established endowment funds.

Dave Frank, chair of the RCF, was grateful to “fundholders” in helping graduating Richmond students.

“As a foundation, it’s important that we grow along with the community.”

Scholarship application forms can be found at richmondfoundation.org with a deadline of March 9 at 5 p.m.
