Get set for the second annual Panther Pups & Puddles 5K walk in aid of RAPS on Saturday, Jan. 12 at noon.

The event is a leisurely, five-kilometre stroll, starting and ending at the RAPS Animal Shelter at 12071 No. 5 Road.

This dog-and family-friendly walk is initiated by the athletes, coaches and owners of Panther Cheer Athletics Junior Generals – Richmond’s premium all-star cheerleading club.

Over the last five years, Panther Cheer athletes have volunteered their time at both the RAPS shelter and the RAPS Cat Sanctuary as part of their philanthropic involvement in the community.

This group of compassionate athletes and coaches has initiated this inaugural walk to continue supporting RAPS.

You can pre-register to walk and/or donate online at RAPSbc.com/2018/12/panther-pups-puddles-2019-walk-thon.

Last-minute walkers may register at the starting point between 11 a.m. and noon.

Refreshments will be available at the RAPS shelter before and after the walk.

All animal lovers and RAPS supporters are welcome to join Panther Cheer friends to raise funds and awareness to benefit the animals at the shelter and cat sanctuary.

All dogs joining the walk must be up-to-date on vaccinations, walk on leashes and be friendly. Don’t forget your poop bags.
