Know of an outstanding youth or an exemplary adult who works with youth? Now is the time to nominate them for a U-ROC Youth Award.

Every year, Richmond hosts the U-ROC – which stands for “Richmond Outstanding Community” – awards during BC Youth Week. The awards aim to recognize the achievements and dedication of youth and youth supporters in the community.

Awards are given in three categories: outstanding youth, youth group and asset champions – for those who support or mentor youth.

The city asks for nominations of “those who go above and beyond the day to day expectations and activities required of them, and those who may not otherwise receive recognition for their achievements.”

The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, March 15. The 21st awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 2.

For more information, including details on how to nominate someone, visit the city's website.
