January may not be prime weather for buying ice cream, but could a 50 per cent discount sweeten the deal?
That’s what the Dairy Queen restaurant on Francis Road hopes. It's preparing to slash prices in half Saturday for its annual customer appreciation sale.
Every item on the menu is part of the deal, including blizzards, burgers and take-away ice cream cakes.
That location appears to be the only one in the city hosting a customer appreciation event. Staff at the Richmond Centre Dairy Queen said they hadn’t heard of the promotion, and calls to the Steveston Dairy Queen went unanswered.
