Celebrate summer with the West Richmond Community Association

Summer might be nearing its end, but the festivities sure aren’t. The West Richmond Community Association is hosting its annual Summer West Fest, which will take place at Hugh Boyd Oval from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m on Aug. 28.

Summer might be nearing its end, but the festivities sure aren’t.

The West Richmond Community Association is hosting its annual Summer West Fest, which will take place at Hugh Boyd Oval from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m on Aug. 28.

There’s lots of activities to keep you busy at the event, including an outdoor showing of Space Jam at dusk.

Visitors can keep an eye out for the preschool zone, giant inflatable, old time games, as well as an active zone, and art truck. Try not to eat too much before heading over to the Summer West Fest, though, because there’s also a pie and watermelon eating contest. The Melt Shop food truck will also be on site.
