The search for a missing 20-year-old Vancouver university student has ended.
Matthew Hutchings' body has been found, according to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).
"At this time, Matthew’s death does not appear to be the result of a crime," state police in a press release.
Hutchings, a UBC student, was reported missing on Sunday, May 25, 2025. He was seen leaving the UBC area on a bus at 2 a.m. on May 24.
Police reported investigators had found a photo later of Hutchings near the intersection of Commercial Drive and Broadway.
