Vancouverite Dorin Ranisav won big on a scratch-and-win ticket.

One Vancouver man couldn't contain his excitement when he realized he'd won $100,000 while at work.

Dorin Ranisav decided to play a 777 scratch-and-win ticket while he was at work recently; it went well, but not perfectly.

“I started shaking and I threw up at work because of my excitement,” says Ranisav in a press release.

While he may have embarrassed himself a bit, that feeling wouldn't have lasted long.

“I thought, ‘What is going on, is this real?’” he says.

After he double-checked the ticket, he called his wife to tell her the news.

"Shut up" was her response.

Now that reality, and stomachs, have settled, Ranisav is planning a celebratory dinner with loved ones and wants to get a bigger vehicle so his family can take road trips across the province.

He bought, and checked, the ticket at the Safeway on Davie Street in the West End.
