Four gold, pair of silver.

Dawson Creek swimmer Robin O'Reilly is not letting all kinds of medals around her neck slow her down in the pool.

Her performance in Victoria at the 55+ BC Games resulted in a four gold, two silver performance.

“I am pleased with my times and races, the event was well organized as usual,” she said to the Dawson Creek Mirror after returning from the games.

The gold medals came in the 200, 100, 50 and 25m freestyle, with silvers in 50 and 25m butterfly runs.

O'Reilly said she was inspired by catching 98-year-old Betty Brussel compete at the games, who was medaling against younger competitors.

"To think I have been doing these games 20 plus years, and have more than twenty to catch up to Betty is amazing."

O’Reilly expects to keep training for the next provincial and national 55+ races in 2023.
